Small Business Fair- Bennett Colorado
On November 30, Consequence Ranch set up their first vendor table at the Small Biz Fair hosted by Bennett Parks and Recreation in Bennett, Colorado. We showcased a few of our products, some goat milk soaps, goat milk laundry soap, and goat milk bath. We have more products coming in the future so stay tuned as we will provide updates via our social media pages and our newsletter.

MEAT CHICKENS AND FRESH PORK AND FRESH EGGS
In October, we purchased a bunch of New Hampshire Red chicks to kick off our meat production line of heritage chicken meat and Idaho Pasture Pigs for our pork line. What is heritage chicken and why do you care? Heritage breeds of animals are important for several reasons! There are so many reasons why we opted for a heritage breed but here are the top reasons: they maintain their natural strong immune systems making them less likely to need treatment by antibiotics thus enabling them to thrive in their environments, they are able to reproduce naturally, they have a longer lifespan, they maintain the natural flavors which you won’t find in the commercially created breeds of chickens. Heritage breeds also maintain rich histories of livestock bred to adapt naturally to their environments.
Finally, because the heritage breeds are raised naturally, they are healthier for the environment and for you and your family. It is so important to us to ethically and humanely raise our animals and that means raising animals that are able to live with as little human interference as possible.
We are looking forward to harvesting fresh chicken around February so stay tuned for more specific information in the future. Our pork harvest will be later in the year so more information will be provided in future newsletters.
Our chickens are now starting to lay eggs so as the days begin to get longer after the Winter Solstice we are expecting for egg production to pick up and to start offering fresh eggs towards early spring.
GOAT MILK PRODUCTS
We are making goat milk products as quickly as possible. We were fortunate to have a significant amount of interest in our handmade soaps and eco-friendly laundry detergent during the recent small business fair, so please bear with us while we work diligently to restock our inventory and meet the demand.
